European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this rare 1983 Land Rover Range Rover County “Classic” finished in a very striking color of Vogue Blue Metallic over its original Bronze Nylon Velour interior. Fitted with the Rover 3.5 liter V8 engine and twin carburetor’s and matted to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The British Heritage Certificate accompanies the car and verifies the car as sitting in original guise. Having left the Solihull factory on June 15, 1983, this Range Rover was shipped to British Leyland Italy where it would remain until it was imported into the United States a few years ago by a private New York collector.
Odometer shows 57,000 kilometers. The car has been repainted in its original color and wears a very nice higher quality paint job. All of the trim is in excellent condition (back two window rubbers are dry) and the front windshield has just been replaced. The interior is all original and in excellent shape showing very lite wear to the driver seat not to tears or damage. The carpets are all in excellent condition showing very minor age and the dash top is free from any cracks or damage. All of the gauges and lights are working as they should including dash lights and the interior and exterior lights. The power windows are working (the driver window is a little slow to come up and the passenger window switch is a little touchy) and the AC is blowing cold. The V8 engine starts right up once warmed up idles very smoothly. The Rover V8 pulls very strong with ease and the gearbox shifts without any hesitation or grinding. The clutch feels excellent free from any slipping and the brakes have a good solid feel to them free from any fade.
The ride is outstanding, the suspension and steering components look newer and the ride is very smooth and tight in the city or on the highway at 80mph. The tires are newer and the wheels have been refinished. The tail gate is free from any rust and opens and closes smoothly. The original spare tire on what looks to be the original rubber is where it should be along with the original jack, tool kit, original owners handbook, Rover service book and original keys.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire an early European delivered V8 County with a factory 5-Speed manual in this in kind of condition. Very well maintained and preserved, this Range Rover has excellent investment potential with so few left in this kind of unmolested condition.
