European Motor Studio is excited to offer this exceptional 1989 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible finished in all original factory Signal Red paint over near new Doeskin Connolly leather. After leaving the Browns Lane Coventry factory in July of 1989 it was invoiced to Canadian dealership Anglo Canadian Motors, INC. in Edmonton Alberton where the car sold new to its first owner on September 13, 1989. The car lived in Edmonton up until 2015 when this XJS moved to Arizona and Jaguar North Scottsdale would do the service work.
Having covered a mere 24,950 kilometers since new, this XJS is wearing its original factory Signal Red paint which is in stunning condition. The finish is free from any fade or damage and 100% consistent throughout the whole car (there are 6 or 7 stone chips on the front nose around the Jaguar hood ornament). All of the trim on the exterior has a near new look with no damage or marks. All of the glass appears to be original and free from any damage or chips. The original factory 15 inch BBS Lattice wheels are in excellent condition free from any curb rash or damage. The interior of the car is impeccable. The original factory Connolly leather looks and smells new. There are no marks on the bolsters and the leather is incredibly soft to the touch. All of the door panels, center console, dash and wood are in excellent near new condition (couple tiny hairline cracks in the lower center console wood around the window switches). The original carpets are in excellent condition with no damage or stains (the original front floor mats are in the trunk and look decent with a couple marks). The rear carpet and rear tray look new with no marks of any kind. The original factory canvas for the convertible top is in excellent condition with no markings or wear marks and the original boot cover is present with the car and also unmarked.
The glorious beautifully balanced English built 12 cylinder starts right up with no smoke or hesitation of any kind and pulls through the full RPM band with ease. The transmission shifts through all of the gears without any issues and the suspension is incredibly well balanced and smooth with no noises or drama. The car has just been aligned and tracks straight down the road. The steering feels tight with no looseness. All of the electronics in the car are operating as designed. The AC blows ice cold, the convertible tops moves up and down with ease, power windows, mirrors, door locks, original factory radio, power driver and passenger lumbar and heated seats are also functioning. All of the exterior and interior lights work as they should and all of the dash lights and gauges are working and reading. The engine bay is in beautiful detailed condition with original factory zinc plating still present on most of the metal components which is rare to see and shows the condition and mileage of this XJS. The original factory books are all present with the sale of this car and two sets of Jaguar keys. The original XJS factory tape, tape cleaner for the radio and the original welcome letter from Jaguar from the first owner comes with the car. An original matching BBS Lattice spare with the cover is in the trunk and the original jack and bag is present.
The car has a clean and clear title and Carfax documenting the mileage and history. This is an exceptional XJS rarely seen in this kind of condition. Excellent care and attention has been given to this car since day one which shows in the condition and the way it performs.
